Happy New Years!!!!
2024 is a big year for baseball, with Shohei Othani’s 50/50, The McMets’ Grimace Era, the world’s biggest baseball contract of all time, swapping teams mid-game, the 3 rookie Jacksons and a walk-off grand slam in the World Series. This was an exciting year.

We were all waiting for Shohei Othani’s 50/50, and waiting to see who Juan Soto would sign with.
This was the best way to end this generation in baseball.  This is my first year playing baseball and it was so fun watching the Mets play, until they lost and didn’t get into the World Series. :(  

What might happen next year in 2025? Will the Mets win the World Series with Juan Soto? 
Who knows? Baseball is pretty unpredictable, that’s why there’s so many mind blowing things because nobody expects it.    Happy New Year!

If I traveled back in time and told you “You know the purple guy from McDonalds, Grimace? Yeah, he’s now a baseball superstition.” What would you think?  The New York Mets were on a seven-day winning streak ever since Grimace threw the first pitch at a New York Mets game against the Miami Marlins on June 12th (also Grimace’s Birthday). This wacky superstitious coincidence has been called “The Grimace Era” or “Grimacemania” by fans. Savannah Bananas

The Savannah Bananas, founded in 2016, are a baseball team that plays in Savannah, Georgia at The Grayson Stadium. There’s just one thing: they play  Bananaball , a totally new version of America’s favourite pastime. They’re basically The Harlem Globetrotters of the diamond. Bananaball added eight different rules to the sport. Let’s check them out! Rule #1. Every Inning Counts.  To get a point you need to win the inning by getting more runs than the other team. But in the last inning of Bananaball every run counts as a point. Rule #2. Two Hour Time Limit.     After two hours the game ends and whoever has more points wins. If the match is tied at the end it’s The Ultimate Showdown: pitcher vs. batter with just one fielder. The pitcher and the fielder must stop the batter before he can score a run. Rule #3.
